Here we have a half bear mount of a Kodiak Bear. A great looking brown bear from Kodiak Island off the southern coast of Alaska. This bear was mounted in a standing position with the appearance that it is coming thru the wall (see attached photos). Bear has all original front claws. Mount stands on a terrain base and has an overall height of 59″ (inches). Bear is facing forward into the room with a slight turn to the bears left side.
This bear was harvested in 1973 and was taken to the taxidermy shop the same year. An older mount, but in excellent condition! Hair is a great light brown/tan color with good length and thickness. Mount features a great open mouth pose. Making for a non-aggressive appearance that still commands attention from the audience.
Overall mount size is 59″ tall x 14″ wide x 39″ long (or deep). Mount does require a fastener at the top to hold securely to the wall. Mounting bracket is attached for quick display.
